Bookings & Reservations

Book online via our reservation page. Select your date, group size and preferred table. A £15 per person deposit is required to confirm your booking, which is deducted from your final bill on the night.

We strongly recommend booking at least a week in advance for Thursday evenings, and 2–4 weeks ahead for Friday and Saturday nights, particularly for larger groups or special occasions.

Walk-ins are welcome, but we cannot guarantee availability — especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Booking in advance is always the safest option.

A £15 per person deposit is required for all table bookings. Deposits are non-refundable and will be deducted from your final bill. No-shows will forfeit the deposit in full.

For private hire, groups of 20+ or any special event requirements, please contact us directly via email at info@waterlanelounge.co.uk with your date, occasion and estimated numbers.

Entry & Venue Policies

Water Lane Lounge and Cellar Bar is strictly 18+. All guests must present a valid, physical, scannable UK photocard driving license or passport. Electronic ID scanners are in operation at entry.

We accept a valid UK photocard driving licence or a valid passport. We do not accept photos of ID, expired documents, Citizen Cards, or any other form of identification.

We ask guests to dress to impress. Jeans and t-shirts are welcome. Tracksuits, sports shorts, sliders, caps and hoods are not permitted. Management reserves the right to use their discretion on entry.

A £6 per person entrance fee applies on Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm. You can pre-book guestlist entry online at £5pp to guarantee entry without queuing.

Last entry is 1 am. Thursday: 11pm. Friday and Saturday: 1:30am.

No. Water Lane is a fully cashless venue. We accept all major debit and credit cards and mobile payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The Venue & Facilities

Water Lane has three distinct areas: The Lounge (ground floor, main bar, open Wed–Sat), The Cellar Bar (open Fri & Sat, available for private hire), and The Loft (first floor semi-private area for groups of 20–25).

Yes — bar snacks and light food are available in The Lounge until 10pm on evenings we are open. We are primarily a bar and entertainment venue, not a restaurant.

Yes. Water Lane hosts a regular programme of live entertainment, DJ sets and occasional live acts. Check our social media for the latest events listings.

Yes. A designated outdoor smoking area is located just outside the main entrance. It accommodates a maximum of 15 people at a time. Drinks are not permitted outside and the smoking area closes 30 minutes before the venue.

No — Water Lane does not offer cloakroom facilities. Please do not leave belongings unattended. The venue accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Safety & Security

Water Lane operates a strict zero tolerance policy on drugs. Any drug-related incidents will be immediately reported to the police. Customers found in possession of drugs will be removed from the premises and barred from future entry.

We may operate a random search policy in the interests of customer safety. Any customers refusing to be searched will not be permitted entry.

We operate a zero tolerance policy on harassment of any kind. This includes harassment of other guests and of our staff and performers. Any such behaviour will result in immediate removal from the premises with no refund.

24-hour CCTV is in operation throughout the entire venue, including all public areas. Footage may be shared with law enforcement as required.

Yes. Management and our security team reserve the right to refuse entry at any time, without providing a reason. This includes guests who appear to be intoxicated.
